Only 1.5 hours from Tokyo Station, Nagano is the largest city in Nagano Prefecture. It is most famous for Zenkoji Temple and its easy access to the Snow Monkey Park. Unlike Tokyo, Nagano is compact and easy to navigate. For some tours, the meeting point is located inside Nagano Station. The following information will help you find your guide.

Where is the Meeting Point?
Your guide will be waiting in front of the Nagano Olympics logo, located near the local line ticket gate and next to the MIDORI shopping center.

How to Get There
There are two main entrances/exits at Nagano Station: Zenkoji Exit and East Exit.
- From the Zenkoji Entrance
On the ground floor, look for the Kobeya Kitchen bakery on your left. To the right of the bakery, take the stairs or escalator to the second floor.

Once on the second floor, you will see the entrance to the MIDORI shopping center ahead and slightly to your left.

Across from the local line ticket gate, on your right, you will see the Nagano Olympics logo. Your guide will be waiting there.

- From the East Exit
Go up the stairs to the second floor and walk straight toward the escalator leading to the train platforms. Continue up one more level. The Shinkansen ticket gates will be on your right and Beck’s Coffee on your left.

Keep walking straight, then head down the stairs. Immediately across from the local line ticket gate (on the right),you’ll see the Nagano Olympics logo (on the left), where your guide will be waiting.

What’s Around the Station?
Nagano Station is located in the heart of the downtown area, offering easy access to restaurants, accommodations, and major attractions. Exit via the Zenkoji Exit to find a large plaza surrounded by hotels, dining options and Don Quijote shop. Bus stands and taxi stands are also directly outside this exit.
