Obuse Station is a small, easy-to-navigate station on the Nagano Electric Railway (Nagaden) line. The station is staffed and has one side platform plus one island platform serving three tracks. Coin lockers are often available at the station, though sizes and fees vary. Tourist information is available next to Obuse Station, and the main town area is about a 10-minute walk away.

How to Get There
- From Nagano
Take the Nagano Electric Railway (Nagaden) train toward Yudanaka and get off at Obuse Station.
- Local trains: approx. 33–35 minutes
- Limited express trains: approx. 25 minutes

- From Matsumoto
Take the JR Limited Express Shinano from Matsumoto to Nagano Station (approx. 55–60 minutes), then transfer to the Nagano Electric Railway local or limited express train to Obuse Station (approx. 25–35 minutes).
*If using local trains from Matsumoto, plan approx. 1.5–2 hours to reach Nagano Station (depending on connections), then continue to Obuse.

- From Tokyo
Take the JR Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station (approx. 1.5–2 hours), then transfer to the Nagano Electric Railway local or limited express train to Obuse Station (approx. 25–35 minutes). Or take the Azusa train from Shinjuku to Matsumoto and transfer to Nagano as indicated above.

Important: Nagaden local trains generally run 1–2 times per hour (often around every 30 minutes, depending on time of day). Limited express trains are less frequent (often about every 90 minutes). Please check the timetable in advance.
