During the New Year holiday season, many museums, local sake and miso breweries, craft shops, restaurants, and other venues may be closed or operate on irregular schedules. Below, we provide important information about closures and adjusted working hours during this period.

Nagano Experience
- Holiday Schedule
Our office will be closed from December 31, 2025 to January 4, 2026. During this time, we will not be operating any tours or services. If you have any questions about our available tours during this period, please feel free to contact us.
Zenkoji Temple
- Regular Access Throughout the Holiday Period
Unlike many attractions, Zenkoji Temple remains open and accessible throughout the New Year period. The temple grounds are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, making it an ideal destination for visitors during the holiday season.
- Adjusted Hours on December 31
On December 31, 2025, the inner sanctuary (Naijin) will operate from 6:00 AM to approximately 1:00 PM. The mountain gate, sutra repository, and history museum will be open from 9:00 AM to approximately 1:00 PM. The stamp and amulet offices maintain extended hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and will reopen at 10:00 PM on December 31 for New Year's Eve visitors.
Other Local Attractions
Several local attractions and venues will be closed during the New Year holiday season, including various museums, craft facilities, and tourist sites throughout the Nagano region. Please check with individual venues for specific holiday schedules.
